[The feed turns on via Gilbird, who is bored and hungry as she pecks at Prussia’s things. It shows the albino sitting on a pier with a homemade fishing rod. Sushi in the episodes had to come from somewhere, right?]

_{Ah hell, bite dammit!}

[After a minute, there’s a tug. Prussia is now getting really excited as he reels it in. Gilbird hops over, ready for battle.]

AHAHA YES! IT BETTER BE A BIG ONE---

[He stares in horror as a Magikarp flops uselessly on the pier.]

…Fuck.

[Sob, what is his life. He pokes it despondently.]

_{I dub thee Lisbeth, like another certain failure.}

_{[EDIT][ooc: Prussia hasn't played the games in over a decade, so he's forgotten what Magikarp evolve into. Don't remind him, it'll be a nice surprise later~]}

It can't do jack shit! It can't attack, learns nothing useful, and is pathetically weak! It can't even be eaten!

[Lisbeth kind of...flops over. She seems a little hurt, though Prussia doesn't notice.]

[Oh, there are a lot of things wrong with him. But most of them are irrelevant to the conversation at hand, so.]

It's a good thing, I think. There's at least one type that isn't built for pointless fighting, but it still survives.

[Just...what. Prussia will always think he's a weirdo.]

Glory and honor are not pointless! [Not to mention the thrill of fighting, and the feel of victory.]

[He says this deprecatingly.]

Something had to be at the bottom of the food chain.

Then what is the point? Seems to me that it only ever leaves people hurt or dead.

[His very existence had been built on fighting, and it gleams in his eyes for a moment.]

There is always one, many of which are worthwhile, though some are a waste of time.

[It's quite obvious he's no longer talking about Pokemon battles.]

Many wars cannot be avoided, and sacrifices have to made. [He is matter of fact about this, though it doesn't mean he does not value life, especially those given to a greater cause. He is quiet for a moment, strangely solemn.]

A hard concept for humans to understand.

[Oh, he hasn't been only referring to Pokémon up until this point himself, so.]

But in the end, other than suffering and death, what comes out of them? I don't see what matters about who owns what land and stuff like that.

[Shrug]

Haa... well, then maybe there isn't anything that could eat it around, so it doesn't need to fight? [As he tries (and probably fails) to make the argument that the fish's existence isn't pointless, at least.

And of course, at the time of this thread he hasn't made it to Cherrygrove yet and thus doesn't know that they do in fact sell meat products, so he's just assuming everyone's expected to be vegetarian or something.]

[Snorts loudly.]

I bet everything can eat it.

Well it's gotta survive somehow...

Yeah, by multiplying enough so that predators can't keep up with it.
